"Every child is a gift that brings out the best in all of us."

About Us

Started in February of 2005, GPARC is a grassroots organization of parents of autistic children, educators, health care professionals, community leaders and other professionals that help serve this population and those who want to help make a difference for these families. The founders and parents of Garrett have been advocates for children with autism for the past twenty years. The Board of Directors has worked in the Boston communities building support and networks with state, city, local and community organizations.

GPARC has a history of providing several educational workshops covering topics from healthcare to transition planning for your child. Recreational activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, bowling and family outings have been a major event for families to participate in the Boston community. The organization has held yearly fundraisers in the community such as walks for autism, road races, spaghetti dinners, pancake breakfasts and have increased public awareness about autism in the urban community. Now, GPARC also provides mental health care advocacy services for families in the Boston communities.
